Sclerotherapy is a method for treatment that involves vein injections using small needles. It can be an option for cosmetic treatment of spider veins and smaller varicose veins. At the current time, Dr. Grace limits his practice to medically indicted vein treatments and does not perform sclerotherapy for spider veins or do any purely cosmetic veins treatments.  We're happy to evaluate any patient with varicose veins and if the treatment desired is deemed cosmetic we can provide referrals to providers who offer this service.  Dr. Grace does perform sclerotherapy where medically indicated which  depends on symptoms, size and location of veins being treated. Techniques include:

• Visual (freehand)

• Ultrasound-guided

• Use of visual enhancement tools that manipulate light. The Syris visualization system uses cross polarized reflected light to allow the user to see beneath the skin surface. This allows for  greater accuracy in treatment of the smallest surface veins.
